Murder in the Stafford Manor Room!!

Y13 criminology students arrived at school to face a ‘crime scene’!

Mavis the mannequin had been murdered!

The students wasted no time in donning their forensic suits and set to work analysing the crime scene for clues. This was a fantastic, hands on experience for our students who thoroughly enjoyed it. Please note…no mannequin dummies were hurt in the production of this crime scene!

Staffordshire University Visit for Y12 Health and Social Care Students .

During the day students were introduced to the range of health and social care courses on offer at Staffordshire University. Each department facilitates an interactive session, such as paramedics resuscitating very life like dummies and midwives supporting a programmable dummy to give birth.

By the end of the day, students had a better understanding of courses and the role of different health professionals. This trip also supports their unit 2 achievement (learners must understand the roles and responsibilities of different health professionals).

First Aid Course.

Health and social care students completed their 'Essential First Aid - All Ages' training on Thursday 12th December 2019. This is a great opportunity for the students to learn some life skills as well as contributing towards their course. First Aid links to unit 2. The students have to understand how to keep service users safe and how to respond to emergencies.
